🌊 April Surf Outlook

April Outlook

It was warm in the Ocean this morning, a balmy 65°F which is definitely uncharacteristic for April. Normally, we are barely scratching above 60°F in early April. If you feel the same way, it may be time to ditch the 4/3 wetsuit. Heck, you could ditch your 3/2 wetsuit.

As we cruise into April, early South swells begin to show up. While this makes for fun combo swells, it’s also when my surf session begin to inch further North. That’s because South swells hit San Diego better beginning at Ponto Jetties. Head a bit further to Trestles. Trestles is usually a gem from now until about October.
