Swell Summary 🌊 The week starts with waist- to chest-high peaky surf from a mix of fading S swells and small NW windswell, with the best conditions early to mid-morning under light winds. A new SSW swell builds Tuesday and peaks Wednesday–Thursday, bringing waist- to shoulder-high surf for most spots and head-high+ sets at standout North County breaks. Light AM winds and manageable PM onshores keep conditions fun before a longer SW/SSW run develops into the weekend.

Best Bet ✅ Wednesday morning (August 6)—SSW swell peaks with head-high+ sets and clean early conditions at North County points and beach breaks.

Worst Bet ❌ Monday afternoon (August 4)—smaller, less powerful combo swell with PM onshore bump makes for the weakest surf window of the week.

South County Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Keeping eyes on Sunday for the start of a healthy looking SW swell.

Worst Bet ❌ Thursday (August 7th) smaller and choppier conditions of the week for Southern breaks.
