Swell Summary 🌊 A fresh SW swell blends with lingering S energy early in the week, bringing chest- to shoulder-high surf for most spots and overhead sets at standout North County breaks, especially on Monday and Tuesday mornings under clean conditions. The swell holds through midweek, keeping fun waist- to head-high waves in the mix, though early low tides and occasional southerly winds may require waiting for a later morning or early afternoon window. Looking ahead, a new run of consistent SSW swells is expected to arrive around August 19–20, keeping surf playful for several days.

North County Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Monday morning (Aug 11) at a North County point or beachbreak—overhead sets, clean winds, and peaky SW energy.

Worst Bet ❌ If I have to get picky, Friday appears to be the day to stay out of the water this week.

South County Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Tuesday morning (Aug 12) looks to be the peak but a low tide drain-out and possible southerly lump early make for a sluggish start. Mid-morning should be a good window.

Worst Bet ❌ Not getting in the water this week. After several weeks of average surf, a sold swell is finally here. Don’t miss it!
