Swell Summary 🌊 This week starts slow with knee- to waist-high waves, but surf builds into midweek as a steep-angled south swell fills in—peaking Wednesday afternoon into Thursday with shoulder- to head-high sets at standout North County breaks. The swell gradually fades by the weekend, though Friday and Saturday still offer fun, chest-high surf in the mornings with manageable winds before conditions taper off.

Best Bet ✅ Thursday morning (July 24)—SS swell holds strong with head-high sets at northernmost breaks, light morning winds, and clean conditions

Worst Bet ❌ Monday morning (July 21)—small leftover swell and southerly wind texture make for inconsistent, lackluster surf at most San Diego spots.

South County Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Beginning to gain confidence that a new NW swell could mix in Saturday for locally fun conditions.

Worst Bet ❌ Early week (Monday/Tuesday) have highest chance for smaller, wobbly surf.

Soft where it counts, stiff where it shreds — Degree 33’s hybrid soft tops ride like a hardboard but feel like a dream. Perfect for beginners, legends, and anyone who hates dings + wax more than crowds.
