Welcome to this week’s edition of The Sunday Stoke!

Swell Summary 🌊 San Diego sees lingering SSW swell keeping things playful early in the week, followed by a building WNW pulse Dec 2–3 that brings the biggest surf — head-high to overhead at the top winter spots. Conditions vary with some southerly wind and very deep high tides early, but Thursday offers a cleaner morning before size trends down. Overall, the midweek WNW swell is the highlight with the best shape at reefs and structured breaks.

Weekly Wave Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Thursday morning — offshore flow, manageable tides, and still-fun WNW energy make for the cleanest, most user-friendly window of the week.

Worst Bet ❌ Wednesday early morning — a nearly 7' high tide plus southerly wind likely shuts down most spots unless heavily protected.

Weekly Wave Recommendations 🎯 

Winter breaks will carry the most energy this week. Beach breaks will handle the high tides better than reef breaks. My wave of the week is Blacks.

If you can get to Sunset Cliffs mid-day Wednesday for a low tide (and if wind remains manageable), it could be really good.

Otherwise, I’m pleasantly surprised to see North Country breaks like Oceanside Harbor are still getting targeting by this week’s swell.
