Swell Summary 🌊 This week in San Diego brings a mix of SSW and NW swells with playful surf early on, but conditions will be tricky as winds and weather shift. Early-week sessions face S to SW wind and possible rain impacting water quality, before cleaner conditions and smaller, more manageable surf return midweek. Morning windows remain the best bet before tides and winds take their toll later each day.

Best Bet ✅ Thursday morning (Oct 16) with lighter offshore winds, fading but clean combo swell, and a manageable tide for fun peaks at the beachbreaks.

Worst Bet ❌ Tuesday (Oct 14), when rain, southerly winds, and poor water quality combine for messy, less-than-inviting surf.

South County Report 🌊 

Best Bet ✅ Wednesday has a small window early that could clean up while swell is still in the water.

Worst Bet ❌ Rusing into the water too soon after possible rain fun-off. Double edged sword so choose your surf session wisely.
